We were surprised how many people were standing in line at the check-in desk as there are several check-in kiosks right next to them. We had a couple of room issues but the staff reacted quickly so no need to mention them here. We had a 2-queen Strip View and enjoyed having so much space, large closets, and two sinks. The Rio does have a free shuttle that goes to Bally's on the Strip.
Therefore, we opted to stay or The Rio All Suites, located behind Caesars Palace. Since we were last in Las Vegas (2015), the majority of hotels on the Strip are now charging nightly parking fees and $13-$15 for valet parking - on top of the nightly 'resort fee' of $25-$39.
